This.

Almost everything about Skywest is empirically inferior to Endeavor, from pay and benefits to stuff like what you can spend your stipend on at Crew Outfitters. That said, living in base goes a LONG way, and hopefully Skywest will work to improve pay and, effectively, negate the difference by allowing you to not have to spend a chunk of your life commuting. Endeavor might suck more in practice for you, especially if it means New York.

DTW's still an option for you, though, no? It's still a commute, but not nearly as gnarly as NYC, if you still want to come here.

Well Endeavor is barely hiring at all let alone to MSP, so it’s not really even an option. MSP is junior at Skywest.

Skywest without a doubt. Commuting sucks and commuting to the most expensive city in the US? You will spend the extra money on crash pads, hotel and transportation as you will be on reserve at two airports without company transportation between them for RSV pilots.

Easy decision!

No. It will take over a year if things don't change. The only junior base is NYC.

The 2 first words sum up everything!

There will not be a new contract soon, we just got an industry retreating contract that we will be stuck with for years. The training is getting worse and the management is more cut throat than ever. Don't think being understaffed is a good thing.

I prefer to call it an "agreement" or "company offering"

I still am in disbelief that Skywest hasn't organized. Having a strong union is required in this job as an essential part of safety in the decision making process.

I can understand not wanting to deal with ALPA but to not at least have a true in house union is silly.
