My guess is 85/15, 85% of the captains take it, and 15% of the FO's. There is no reason for an FO to take it till they upgrade, unless they need the $20K immediately.

I agree, absolutely no reason for an FO to take it. On the CA side, however, I think it’s a safe hedge to take the money. If I got a call from United or FedEx, I would be more than happy to give them their money back regardless of the tax consequences.

Today, and the next 20 days with the “Pilot Agreement Form” on the flight ops page, right under the flow calculator…

Wow. "Entitlement issues" ... I bet you're a real joy to fly with.

But for everyone's SA as far as metering goes, folks interviewing this week likely will not start class until November if they stick with the 5/mo OTS.

Boo hoo...cry us all a river. These children complaining all over social media and these forums looking for sympathy from the rest of us. Nice try not going to happen. Maybe they should all make a huge chat group and then they can all cry and pat each other on the backs while they wait. Their time will come soon enough at the mainline.

Y’all strived and excelled for that CJO- but Delta still wants you to wait around like a good DCI pilot. No disagreement that it sucks to be held back specifically because of the airline you fly for, but your not going to get much sympathy from me if you decide to wait around and reward Delta for holding you at Endeavor. Im sure if you actually wanted to wait around for Delta, you would have skipped the application review and the interview prep so you could flow at Delta’s convenience.

If you idly wait for Delta, you can not complain about the lost seniority, and lowered career expectations- remember, you aren’t hired until you show up for Day 1. Instead, keep pounding the job fairs and applications. Go interview at airlines that want you on their list today. Or just sit around trusting that DL will honor their current timeline, and won’t further meter the OTS hires.

AA was literally doing poolside interviews at NGPA this year. All with like 24 hours notice. If you really want that seniority number go hustle for it. United and American are pedal to the metal calling our captains
