I’m shocked the FAA allows beards with the potential need to wear a full mask at altitude. OSHA/NFPA doesn’t allow firefighters to grow beards for this very reason and they wear essentially the same apparatus.

So as long as Delta remains hyper focused on their image, beards will never be allowed.

European and Canadian airlines allow beards because their militaries allow them.

Surprisingly, there is a difference between complaining and stating how woefully out of date our company written standards for grooming have become.

It’s only out of date if our society wants it changed. Since it’s based on US Military standards I willing to bet our society doesn’t want it changed.
