It will not happen until if/when the CA/FO imbalance is much less drastic. FO hiring is being scaled back in order to accommodate the training of upgrading and DE CAs. It doesn’t make sense to have 15 FOs in a new hire class when there won’t be anyone to fly with them. Sorry to burst your bubble, but I wouldn’t anticipate having that class date moved up any further.

I was one of the first ones to get my YX date canceled so I applied in early October, got a phone screen in mid October, got an interview invite around Halloween, and their earliest interview date was just after New Year's. When I asked how far out class dates were in the phone screen, they said June (8 months after). If that holds, I would guess I'd hear back in mid January for a class date in September, so literally 11 months

Have a question about training
Hi,
Was wondering if anyone could give me some feedback on the quality of training. What are you thoughts concerning the instructors and the quality of instruction, especially in the sims? What are the class sizes? Do they pair first officers with captain upgrades? How did you feel about the study materials, ie systems, indoc, flows, profiles, etc? Considering Endeavor.....thanks!

Question for everyone: I have a June class date, and have let them know I am available earlier (as I'm sure everyone is doing).
I know nobody has a crystal ball, but I'm sort of panicked that a lot can happen in the next 6.5 months, and am wondering if I should take other 121 interviews (doubt I'd get an earlier date and EDV is my 100% preference), or a local 135 job with King Airs (do that for 6 months and bail, would that look bad to future employers)?
Basically slightly panicked I have 6 months to worry about it, or just continue teaching and see what happens? (1600hr CFI).

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Don’t hesitate to continue to seek opportunities or take an offer that’s good for you. Things can change very quickly in this industry (especially now) and options can’t hurt. If you have another (better) CJO in hand you can weigh your options but until then keep them apps out!
