I'm a disgruntled SLI guy, but I don't give a Shiite anymore.

And I have no time on my hands.

It's easy to call a guy disgruntled when you are not in his shoes. Even though the bad SLI doesn't really effect me, I still recognize the injustice that it was. Equipment mergers don't respect seniority, I see no reason why the company shouldn't be able to furlough out of seniority based on the plane you fly. It's really the same thing.

Put the crackpipe down... there aren't any 09 Captains.

Saabs, seniority was thrown out for all practical purposes in the SLI list. It's the way the ratios and restrictions worked out, coupled with Colgan's seniority grab for those hired Feb 2008 and earlier.

Saabs, Pinnacle/Endeavor isn't my main salary, so I can look at this situation without bias. Look, the snapshots that determined were everyone went were arbitrarily decided based on what Bloch thought would happen at Pinnacle. You can't take the present state of two airlines and combine them with the future state of one airline. It creates an out of seniority condition if the future state never materializes. This is exactly the same thing as an out of seniority furlough when you lose aircraft.

Prove that one FarmLover. There isn't a single 09 hire in the left seat on the jet.

You're comparing apples to oranges.

The Colgan snapshot was taken based on a future staffing outlook based on current staffing numbers (which I believe was ~4.2/pilots per seat, per airframe). Airframes were being delivered, the same cannot be said for XJ or 9E. Pinnacle's snapshot was taken based on historical staffing data. Mesaba's snapshot was taken based on historical staffing numbers.

If anyone "won" that section of the SLI it was without a doubt Mesaba with their generous staffing number history. Pinnacle and Colgan were both understaffed as a product of Nonconnah mismanagement.

I'm not trying to defend the SLI, because I do believe it was unfair in areas, but let's step back and look at it objectively instead of saying "everyone is out to get me, especially Colgan pilots", because honestly- we aren't.
