Should Endeavor........
create a new type of mechanism to enable the EtD pilots to get their 2 years of PIC time earlier than waiting for them to upgrade on the line?
You are hearing how long the upgrade is going to be at Endeavor and how current captains are threatening not to allow EtD pilots to actually fly when it's their leg. I think Endeavor would be well advised to create a charter division (like XJT had in which you had to interview to be accepted to fly charters) In this case only EtD eligible pilots would be allowed to fly in this division and all would get PIC designated so their 2 year clock would start now instead of waiting years to upgrade on the line. This would allow EtD pilots to flow to Delta sooner and help Delta alleviate their pilot shortage, plus it would neuter the threats of Endeavor lifers to sabotage the career prospects of EtD pilots.

Not trolling. I think Delta is going to want these EtD pilots at mainline sooner than later, so they are either going to need to create a way for them to get PIC time sooner or forgo the 2 years as captain requirement.

Theres no way this would happen. The goal isn't to actually have these EtD pilots go to Delta. The goal is to staff Endeavor.
Best case scenario for Delta and Endeavor is as many new pilots as possible to bite the carrot with as few as possible actually ever ending up flowing. They don't want you to get a job at Delta, they just want you to think you will and make a foolish career decision in the process.

What they want is to man the operation at 9E as it is suffering from the inability to attract qualified pilots. Mainline is not struggling attracting new hires.

This isn't to get pilots at delta. They know that will never be an issue
The goal here is to staff endeavor. What is to stop them from staffing the airline how they want then canceling the deal? Do all these EtD guys just get stuck there?
This thing is bad. I trip feel for the polis there.

The last thing a regional flow is designed for is to actually flow pilots. Guys stuck with a glimmer of hope that a few more years till the big day is exactly what they want.

I doubt flow to Delta will attract that many more new hires with no 121 time. It probably will attract some FOs from other carriers who have no upgrade in sight there anyway.
