Yes...that is absolutely what you would get out of training unless something drastically changes.

So question, an maybe this has been answered. Let's say you get hired in the program, but you never upgrade, and the company closes. Do you still get to flow through?

Is LGA 200s or 900s? I thought it used to be a senior base (had a friend who tried bidding for it for a long time and couldn't get it) not anymore?

Alright, everybody who is convinced 9E is destined to shut down, I've got news for you...it already happened. Ready for a mind job? How bout this: Delta effectively Comaired legacy Pinnacle (and Colgan) and transferred the flying to Messba. Think about it. When DL and NWA merged, DL inherited a long term CPA with 9E on a whole ton of airplanes they didn't want anymore, with a company that was a disaster. Now all that remains of those companies is a fraction of the original pilot cadre, and they are lets just call it "unflavored" by the Bloch award.

The operation that remains, I believe, will be supported when the timing is right, which is not yet.

You just answered your own question. You never upgraded hence you never met the requirements to flow. The masochists around here will argue up and down otherwise.

I've been trying to bid over there from JFK for a better schedule, but I have not been able to get it since our realignments have been small lately. However, all new hires are getting assigned a NY base, either JFK or LGA right out of training. As more positions for FOs open up in MSP I would guess senior FOs would leave to go back to that base keeping NYC very junior.

Hey Dakota... I just accomplished that. THe trick is that you have to choose a "voluntary displacement". I tried for 3 awards to get to LGA where there are 40 people junior to my number, but was never successful. THen I changed my tactic and volunteered for a voluntary displacement and was immediately awarded it on the next bid. It'll greatly improve my commute and schedule.

The company could hire whoever they want though. That's why this is so silly. They could waive the entire interview and just invite people down for fingerprinting and ID pics and tell them to show in jeans and a t-shirt, right along side others who are going through the same suit and tie 2 day. In any case, now that the medical is gone, day 2 is just a couple hours and the standards for hire are 100% under the company's control anyway.

If DL wants to hire 9E FO's, they can hire as many of them as apply, to whatever standards they want. They don't need "the union" to do any of it.
