It's a negotiation in progress. With the 900 being junior in nyc, but openings (vacancies) not happening on the 200 at the moment at the same rate of classes, negotiations are ongoing to have a single FO rate (900 rate) and seat locks to keep folks from being bounced between the 900 and 200 as junior fo's. The idea is to remove a pay difference between the 900/200 as an FO and allow folks to bid where they WANT to be and then stay there for a bit as new hires continue to backfill and allow movement into CA seats and natural movement down the list. If a NH class gets all 200, the next gets 900, then a vacancy comes out and pushes a new 900 guy and relatively new 200 guy into inverse spots by seniority it only results in both FO's going to training, which doesn't cover any flying. So avenues are being explored to rid the issue.
