My gripe isnt based off of entitlement, it fits the narrative of this topic. If you dont like it, so what?

Also, I know Im new at the company so I may have mispoke about the "mock". But I just checked the pilot bid pack and the PBS mock snapshot came out at 1000CT today June 12th?

They still have the June mock in there, maybe they posted the wrong one.

And the pilots that avoid your gaze are just practicing to be Delta pilots.

Thanks for the clarification men. The mainline guys will make eye contact, I had one say "Guess we arent wearing hats anymore" as he passed on the belt mover in JFK...I came from cirporate flying, Im not used to the self-loathing and crab mentality that prevails here on the regional level.

It's been my experience that Delta pilots will only say hi back to you if you are wearing your hat.

Lol

It's just a fact, no self loathing required.

Say hi to 10 delta guys (not the new ones) and you'll be lucky to get one to even acknowledge your existence.

It's their issue not mine.

Mock is out.

The whole DGI thing seems more and more like a joke when you realize every captain you fly with has been turned down twice by mainline. The guys going to Delta in the coming months are certified a-wholes. The guys that have been here for years are disgruntled and the only "Delta" guarantee is that you'll be flying a plane with "Delta" painted on it. This place legitimately seemed like a good move to get into the 121 side of things but more and more if you can look past the smiles you'll see theres no real future here for anyone. It's sad that some of these colgan/pinnacle/mesaba guys are on the verge of tears when in cruise flight they talk about how long theyve been flying and how safe theyve been, and how they have a million applications out yet can't get a call from anyone. Least of which being the parent company. The hat issue is the cherry on top. Worst $100 I ever spent, it's a slap in the face and I can't bring myself to wear it in light of this company's colorful past and dim future.

Sorry if I sound like debbie downer. A lil bit disgruntled after I checked the mock bid......

You can wear that hat when playing Captain with the wife. As far as acknowledgement in the terminal. Who cares!.... It's like people waving to each other on a boat. Do you do that sh!t in a car?

Look, the talk of old ways is cheap. Moot even. You may have come up in that environment (hell you may just be the macho pilot that exists on the internet, I dont know) but I, and others like me did not. We didnt leave our secular jobs to work for $9 an hour. I wasnt in a position then and I'm definitely not now. I dont owe dues to the pilots who did sit on reserve for years so please, recuse the attitude.

Outside of this internet board theres a world where airline recruiters are selling individuals on very short reserve times and earning potential with documented proof of their own schedules. Its easy for a troll of a man to say "quit crying", but that same troll wont do anything to enforce a quality standard of living. Mentioning "bro" in the same breath just goes to show the dysfuntion in logic. Im here just like you with my own experiences and goals, dont be mad because I dont fall in line with your failed standard. To everyone else, thank you for help.

The only person with an attitude is you... Like I said before, if you hate it this much now, why stay? What is there to gain by sticking around if you already hate the job?

With some of these folks, it's like you're trying to play chess with a pigeon my fellow 9E-er. However; go easy on the word "bro"
," it suits the sarcasm of these threads here well!
