Because I'm new to this, I'll ask...

We get told to, "bid what you want."

Did you not do that? Or did you get displaced?

What's your story and what did you bid vs. what you expected, etc?

I want to learn these details and this odd system.

Ah, that is true. And I do want Minneapolis. But I live 250 miles away so reserve is not good for me. It would be perfect if I could hold a line. This vacancy is very different from most as they are opening a new 900 base with 70 Captain spots. It's kinda hard to predict how the award will look in the end. So once awarded a different base or position make a list of pros and cons and make a decision. The only ones that you can't withdraw from are involuntary or a displacement. There haven't been any displacements for a while now. But that's a possibility next year when they eliminate the MSP 200 base

Check the award, chief. MSP secondary vacancies filled = 0.

You're missing one very important word "Not". I mean it would only make sense, if there are "0" primarys for all the other bases, and yet there are awards, then they've gotta be secondary awards. Re read the award again please Chief

Congrats new upgrades and folks who've been waiting for ATL since it closed.

Hope to join the four bar crew next time around.

Yeah same. Sleeper FOs decided to bite the upgrade bullet and kept me off it

Go back and look at 17-01 initial vs final. I'd imagine that 17-04 is going to be similar to that in some ways. Lots of withdraws incoming I'd expect.

Why is it that they can't put out the award in Excel format? Would make it a lot easier to see how each base stacks up.

So.....another question. Best guess.

As a new 200 FO (done with training) who got ATL on this, and assuming all the withdrawals don't knock me back out of ATL (which would suck), how long before I actually start in ATL? I'm LGA200 right now.

Two weeks? Two months? Do I try for a month of TDY, which closes on the 8th, or do I just ride it out until the final is released on the 9th?

Like I said...best guess.
