Outstation basing hasn't hurt PSA, PDT, or RAH. I doubt it would be large, and for some stations RDU is an easier commute than NYC (weather) or ATL (loads). It's not our job as pilots to care about recruiting. Any dips in hiring means more offered to us.

Right! Also, I've talked to people who just want southern bases and will move. I know a bunch of guys that moved to CLT because it was a southern City they could hold at PSA. I suspect people would move to Raleigh for this base, much much lower COL and it's super easy to non-rev out of.

We're not hurting on the recruiting side; ATL is building up and the 2 class flying becoming our mainstay. It's no secret in the CTower they want (and expect) a fleet of 700s and are very keen on the 175. I'm hoping for an announcement on the non rev priority and travel partner any day now; perhaps thats what they're referring to.... |
