How much is pay expected to increase in the next contract?

Also, typically, how many legs of flying per day?

Contracts don’t expire. Do some reading into how the RLA works

No bonuses except for new hires

1-5 legs a day. Usually 3 or 5 on the first and last day and 2/4 on the middle days.

No bonuses. Also, no flow for new hires. The company said they are "not in a position" to offer retention payments. Don't expect them any time soon. Go to AA regional if you want the extra $150,000 and a flow

We really don't expect pay to increase.

Legs of flying and schedules are all over the board. Expect min days off until you are very high on the seniority list.

At least they have it for new hires. We don't.

I've been telling the young CFI's that I have mentoring that if their primary plan is to wait 9.69 years to flow, they need their head examined!

Their plan should be upgrade to left seat ASAP, get your TPIC, and move forward with whoever will hire your....Cargo, LCC, Major, etc.

The money AAG is throwing at their WO's may get people to apply, but I'm willing to bet a large majority of bottom 50% of their seniority list isn't going to be waiting around for the flow to AA.

Any idea why the company decides to hire more -200 pilots when the junior -200 pilots arn’t flying to begin with? Is there some kind of positive outlook for a newly hired -200 pilot? Ive heard pilots hired in the last couple months are barely flying and are having trouble consolidating.

Because they are looking at a bigger picture. They have the attrition numbers and have a better idea on staffing needs than we do.

Remember. You see a very small picture of the operation. They have the big picture.

Yea, it's funny how many people I talk to here that think the AA guys have it better than us. Then I've got friends at the AA regionals that think we have it better than them. It's the grass is always greener syndrome. We all sit around and complain about what other regionals have while our major parents are on their boats laughing

What is the QOL like being based in DTW for both a FO and a Captain?

How many days off per month can I expect?

For the extra $150,000 that AA is paying their regionals, you could have a boat too ;-)
