Per the email sent yesterday, these will be a plane for plane swap of some of their older 900s. They got some pretty tired CA tails. No word on 50 seaters.
no growth, just new planes. According to that email “Over the next several years Endeavor will have the opportunity to add incremental Delta controlled CRJ 700/900 aircraft expiring from Delta’s regional partner contracts” This email strongly implies that we will take on those CA and PQ tails and most likely the atmosphere cabin aircraft Skywest is flying when their CPAs expire. Looks like Skywest will eventually mainly fly the 175 for Delta with a small amount of 200s doing pro rate and EAS flying. |

They aren’t swapping the new 175s for the old CA and PQ tails, they are swapping for older 900s that they own.

you’re right about the pq/ca tails, and it will be interesting to see what they do with the atmospheres since they bought them all off delta except the last one they received. Perhaps eventually a leaseback like what they do with gojet?

Probably, it seems Skywest wants to be all E-jets in a few years.
They are well aware the ERJ175 is a far superior product to the 900. The 700 has value to it, but they are trying to rid themselves of any future 900 orders and switch them to 175’s. All new contracts have been 175’s or 700’s. |

I was under the impression that Bombardier no longer produces the CRJ line since 2020…so I hope they don’t still have 900s on order…
FYI SkyWest doesn’t own every single A/C they utilize for contract flying. |

Where did you see that they bought all the atmospheres from Delta?

if you check the tail numbers on flight aware they’re all registered to the bank of Utah trustee not delta air lines like most of the ca/pq tails.

is this reflected anywhere on Deltanet? I don’t recall seeing an announcement about Skywest purchasing these aircraft. Does Delta use Bank of Utah for financing?
