You can pick up open time in any base.

As stated above, jr capt is around 900. We are upgrading ~25 a month at this point with 1500 on the list. To move up those 600 spots at 25 upgrades a month would be 24 months.

If you just go off the midpoint of the 1500 it would be 750 spots to upgrade or 30 months.

We will be losing 15 a month at minimum just to Delta. Add in all those leaving for United, American, and everyone else...

If Endeavor can continue hiring more than we lose off the top then there will be even more upgrades to cover the added flying.

Any thoughts on how the new DAL contract (assuming it passes) would affect things? It seems like they're going to get some E195s to operate, which would seem to mean more mainline hiring, but I also read about increased crew efficiencies canceling that out.
I believe right now the number of CJO's is just over 200. The 500 (ish) is based on the contractual requirements as long as the SSP continues. The question is how much longer before the SSP runs its course.

The SSP success is pretty good as of late. Only my guess, but I think applicants are coming in more prepared.

So to be sure, there is no training contract here even with the retention bonuses? Also, what is their multi req? Last I looked, the website said 50 or 100 hours, but are they taking guys with 25 hours multi and letting them get the rest in the sim towards their ATP?

When I interviewed seven months ago 25 hours was all you needed. I doubt HR has bumped the requirement up.
