These days, if your forum is quiet that’s usually a good thing. Looks like more birds being pulled out of storage. Realignment bid to account for the closure of the 200 base in NYC will probably arrive in a few weeks.

It's quiet because all of the boomers are out on unpaid leave and remembered there is a life outside of the company.

Ok, it’s quiet enough I’m gonna have to start base rumors. Didn’t NJ say on the conference call that we might expect more flying west of the Mississippi, including CQ scenarios based in SLC?

In all seriousness, now that Delta is out of Aspen, there's no rush for Delta to bring OO's RJ7/8/9s back. When Delta wants the OO RJs back, Delta can launch them westward from SLC (as well as place them in LAX and SEA), and we potentially could fill any gaps east of SLC. We'd probably bounce in and out the way we used to do it in RDU and CVG.

​​​​​That probably wouldn't be a long term solution. As long as OO waives its service minimums, though, then Delta will probably take advantage of it.

There is one OO 700 back and doing turns out of MSP already. And OO 900s have been doing flights out of SLC for several weeks now.

OO’s 900’s are only “subbing” In for flights booked over 60% on the 200.. 900’s are not part of the regular schedule right now...

Same for the 700. The point is that some OO 700 and 900s are, in fact, flying for DL.

AA is doing something similar. I’m on reserve being assigned trips that were scheduled on smaller metal but are now legs being flown by large RJs. And they are all at or booked over the AA 85 pct cap.

Correct me if Wrong, the floods of emails in the last few months, sometimes stuff just goes over my head. I know that company is doing no questions asked to base from your home positive space, are they doing it from base to home as well?

We do have quite a few "FLICA ninjas." They lurk in the shadows and strike within seconds on the bounties of the open time gods. That, or we have many CAs and FOs with too much time on their hands.

If you use Flica alerts, then you still probably aren't getting open time. I tried it for a month and gave up, and that's when there weren't a bunch of idle pilots.

Sometimes it's just a matter of right place/right time. Sitting on the computer browsing the web and a FLICA alert pops up, I can submit the request within a minute or two of the alert.

Not sure on the number of actual aircraft but they average around 22 CRJ-900 daily departures across their entire Delta network. So it's not much but its simple existence is irksome. Especially when the flying is purely out of DTW and MSP, instead of SLC.

I’m not sure if this has anything to do with it. But Delta was trying to give us a lot more block hours and Endeavor is having trouble getting flight attendants to return. I’m not sure if we have enough to cover the increase

That was the case for a lot of people, not just flight attendants. My niece is a dental hygienist and she’s making more on unemployment. I think she said there was a $600 per week increase in unemployment benefits due to Covid 19.

I thought the memo was referencing him as well but maybe not, unless he said something racist. The memo mentioned not tolerating racist remarks so I’m guessing that’s what got whomever in hot water.

I bet the incident in question was not even racism. It was someone not guzzling the koolaid of BLM. These companies should get away from all of this stuff and leave politics out of peoples places of employment.
