It doesn't say in the study guide that we aren't allowed to carry a backpack, but he asked it, and I knew that it was in FM1. I was also asked questions about the radar that weren't in the guide, and that's why it's a guide and not an overriding document.

And radar is in the study guide at least ours. I don't know about the 145.

Incorrect. The question bank is a start point. If a weak area is noted, the examiner asks additional questions, not necessarily from the bank until he is satisfied with the students knowledge.

People typically don't have much trouble with the oral, it's the sim from where the majority of unsats come.

Perhaps poor quality of instructors is to blame. FO's are being hired as instructors now with not enough experience.

It's so obvious you have no idea what you're talking about and simply trolling every time you post.

They are hiring FO's as instructors. How is that trolling?

I was down there not too long ago. And the questions they can ask still have to come from the study guide. That's what I was told. So 2 questions per system and let's say I miss one then they can ask up to seven question from that section.

This is what I was told also... I was part of the trial AQP Initial for the 145. They said they can only ask questions from that study guide... the only thing that's not on the study guide are the FM1 questions and the limitations, but those are easy to find the information and study.

The trolling part is where you come to the conclusion that the sim instructors are the reason for the unsats, and their lack of competence. I've yet to have a sim instructor who I felt was incompetent and was leading me to an unsat. And as far as the new instructors being hired, I have no doubt they will be just as capable. These new sim instructors you're referring to have yet to be qualified therefore you have no grounds for your assumptions.

How many years of experience is enough? You do realize we have FOs that are more senior to CAs.

Thats irrelevant. They are still FO's and never had that 121 CA experience.

No thanks.

Envoy only hires future captains.

Maybe it's all the old timers they been hiring? Flying an RJ is more like playing a video game.
