I honestly believe that there is some news coming soon, but just might've been off on the date. Considering the last MEC Newsblast where they mentioned new bases in the works.

"Let’s look at how far we’ve come since then:
Over the past 24 months, we have seen a massive paradigm shift in our favor.
What was an 8-year upgrade is now under 2-years from hire to award,
We are accepting delivery of our 44th E175 by the end of the year,
We have re-opened LGA, and are working towards affording the pilots even more domiciles in the near future,
We have re-gained profit sharing,
We are hiring ~60 a month,
Returning E140s to service,
Starting new hire First Officers on 3rd year pay,
All “tenured” FOs get a $10,000 yearly retention bonus – and $2500 upon upgrade,
ExpressJet E145s have begun their return."

Things between the union and the company could be pretty tenuous right now. Why else would the union put in the last Blast a "reminder" that the PP group will lose their sick time if they don't use it.

I don't have a saved copy of the MEC blast, but didn't it dispute rumors of any talks of new bases?

According to the lastest news blast the union is in talks to offer more bases.

Straight from the email

"We have re-opened LGA, and are working towards affording the pilots even more domiciles in the near future,"

As an ORD pilot, I cringe at the thought of new domiciles.

If you can't find that info on here then maybe you should spare the aviation world of being in the left seat of anything.
