I think everyone who's excited that 30 got selected into the pool is in for a rude awakening when they see how many we actually send to AA this summer.

I guess I wasn't clear enough for you dacuj. I was making the point that a pool isn't the same as class. Informed people know the difference between 30 guys getting into a hot tub and 30 guys getting a seniority number at American. Not the same thing. The pool is just a waiting place where you still fly at envoy and await a class. Repeat. Not the same thing, but you already knew that.

I see, so you agree now that there is a distinction? I'd prefer to have everyone in the hot tub go to seats at American within a month. Do you also agree that just because there are 30 dudes in a hot tub that American may not get 30 pilots because envoy may only release 25?

I agree with both of those statements. Hopefully all 30 pilots are released by envoy.

I agree. I also hope that happens. However over the last few years my expectations have been too lofty more often than not. I expect 25 and that's all. No reason for them to bring our expectations up or set a precident.
