This is great news congrats to all. It took me quite a bit longer before I was able to move seats . I flew with some very seasoned guys who taught me a lot of what I know today. I experienced a lot of different situations in my short 8.5 years in the right seat which I am now able to use in the left. I question how the transition will be for guys with only 2 years under their belt. Of course we all know how to fly, but when it comes to making those PIC decisions will some of these guys have issues? I guess time will tell good luck to all.

That is great! A lot of people, myself included, owe Ric an apology. Bucket made it!
Envoy Haters Club in 3, 2... ( I can't wait and see how they attempt to twist this into a bad thing ) We don't have a sub two year upgrade time. Paper CA doesn't equal real CA. By late summer/fall we should (based on the flow plan) have sub three year CAs finishing IOE. We may see a sub two year CA in the winter but who knows. |

So all of the claims of the "Envoy salesmen" turned out to be true, so far...
I wonder what Ag386 and eaglefly are up to these days. I was seriously skeptical of the 2.5 year upgrade/6 year flow claims, but it appears as though the 2015 hires hit the sweet spot. More 140's wouldn't be terrible news. More planes means more lines and better schedules. More bases would probably follow an announcement of more planes, too. |

Has the upgrade time actually come down this much or was this a new hire who was able to take advantage of senior FO's passing up the upgrade?

Hopefully there will be some communication soon, from either the company or the union, about the first selections coming from the Protected Pilots list. More planes = less flow.
