I have no problem with your bonus or QOL, good timing on your part, but stop implying that those of us who complain about our QOL are making it up. And remember, there are still pilots out there that are displaced and have a terrible QOL. |
Can someone explain to me what I am missing with reserve. I'd think it should be simple math but I don't get it. For example, say a company has 50 lines up for bid on a certain airframe/city. That company has 67 FOs on that airframe/city status. It would seem that the company should then have 17 FOs on reserve after covering their lines and at 30% of the staff, it would be decent coverage. Instead, the company has 22 pilots on reserve. How does this work? Doesn't this leave entire lines open?

QOL Out of Houston
So I have a start date for the late August class. I live in Houston. Assuming I can get DFW the QOL should be pretty decent?

So Inop2 was your birth name, what it? ( LOL, relax man. No need to get all worked up over an anonymous internet forum right? )

Seems to me you are judging all of Envoy's QOL with your very limited experience here. Keep in mind, most pilots here didn't get a $22,000 signing bonus or get to hold a line so quickly on a brand new fleet.

The computer parameters aren't that simple. There's so many more possible combinations for the system to get you within credit and days off.
I used PBS for 6 years, I get how it works. Damn arguing with someone from Mesa sucks, you guys have it so bad, you don't know what bad looks like. |

Where did I say you made it up? Lol. You may be part of the crowd that's been here a long time and lived the days of 18 days off a month. From my perspective, that's a part time job. It's over and gone. You still can get half the month off without taking any vacation time. I'm not suggesting you to stop complaining and I won't stop providing my life experience from another perspective.
Part time job? Seriously? You should be so lucky. 72+ hours over 12 days is hard work. It's a bunch of mid day turns that envoy doesn't have anymore. Your still working 72+ hours now but because there are fewer turns you get to spend about 125 extra hours a month in a hotel room either working on your internet business or watching porn. |
