Default Envoy policy on flying on the side?

I'd like to do a little commercial flying (<5 hrs/month) on the side, to stay current in helicopters. What's Envoys policy on this? I'm getting conflicting stories.

FM-1 specifies that we aren't supposed to do any outside for-hire flying while employed with the company.

With that being said, I'm sure there are individuals out there in similar situations giving a couple hours of dual given here and there to stay current in certain aircraft. But technically it isn't allowed.

I'm not sticking up for the troll by any means, but their are plenty of people who have upgraded out there without integrity.

Including the upgrade of a man to the highest office of RESPONSIBILITY in our nation and the WORLD! The President of the United States of America.

Thank you.

There are several DPE's around the DFW area employed by Envoy and American. The "outside flying policy" hasn't stopped them from making their extra thousands of dollars every year. No one is going to come looking for you doing 5 hours of outside flying a year if they're not going after the well-known examiners whose names are all over the FAA website.

I'm not an Envoy guy, but at my company you can ask someone (Chief Pilot, some high up person, I don't remember) and make your case. It is rooted in Part 117 regs, I was told.

A DPE is not a pilot in command. So technically it's not a flying job.
