10 New E175 announced from AAL to Envoy... Beginning 4th quarter NEXT YEAR. Was that a typo from Pedro's office?
I laughed at the 4th Qrt next yr part

Had an in depth conversation with an Envoy chief trainer earlier this year while I was catching a ride on Envoy metal early one morning.
It is consistent with what has been stated.
1. Envoy will continue to take delivery of 175s to replace all of the CRJs and some of the 140/145s.
2. The CRJs all go to PSA. PSA will remain all CRJs.
3. Piedmont will take as many 145s as they can handle. They will get rid of all their Dashes.
4. Envoy will replace the 145s where 175s make sense. Some routes are too thin to support 175s.
5. This will take until the end of 2018 to all take place.
6. The intent (at least for now) is for all 3 W.O.s to be operated as separate entities.
7. AA would like all 3 to grow, taking on more RJs routes served by other regionals.
Of course things can change, but it made sense, and he was certainly in the know.

We’ve been told by some in management here at PSA that there is possibility for growth beyond 150 airframes. That most likely would mean some of the Mesa CRJ900s that AA owns. As long as the WOs keep hiring AA will keep moving flying to the WOs. I would expect news of more than 10 175s next year...

There was a false rumor spread when they made the order for -900s in 2015 that it was from AA's order, but all those aircraft are registered to and paid for by Mesa.

i know there are still outstanding options for 900s in the original 900 deal we took, who knows if that will ever happen.

Mesa doesn’t own them. Their creditors do. Who do you think was a huge creditor to Mesa?

I can’t find any evidence that would say AAG has any ownership or interest in those aircraft. The press release for the order only says Mesa. The aircraft are all registered to Mesa (not Wells Fargo or AA).
It was merely a rumor at the time that spawned from PSA’s staffing shortfalls and some Mesa pilots thinking they were getting aircraft diverted from our order.
AA being a “creditor” would imply Mesa owes AA money. Did AA finance the buy? If so, it would be in AAG’s finances. Again, I can’t find anything about that.
