Expect it to be fluid. But at the moment, the most junior FO on the 145 that has been awarded a base transfer to DFW was hired in May and he will be DFW based in January. So roughly 8 months on the 145...for now. And since the 175 hasn't even began operating in ORD yet and FOs cannot bid jet to jet, there have been no FOs on the 175 in DFW that were not hired directly into it.

OK, thanks. That sounds pretty bleak. I live in DFW, but it looks like Endeavor will be a better option all around.

from the main Envoy thread:

Today’s breakdown was 9 175s ORD and 9 145s ORD/LGA.

Does that mean 9 each to ORD and LGA?

I would agree. Until AAG decides to raise pay at its WOs, EDV is a hard deal to pass up. EDV's pay and work rules definitely are superior to Envoy. But just keep in mind...having the option to get DFW at some point down the line, even if it does take upwards of a year, sure beats not ever having the option of getting DFW. Commuting blows. EDV beats Envoy as things currently sit in terms of compensation and its pilot contract. But I'd be hesitant to commit to commuting your entire career there when you'd at least have some light at the end of your commuting tunnel at Envoy. If you don't live in an EDV or an Envoy base and would have to commute to either one, I'd say without question go to EDV. But living in an Envoy base changes the equation.

No the 9 total that chose ORD/LGA 145 could either choose ORD or LGA...the company knows that pilots will constantly bid out of those two places to come back to DFW for 145 spots so that’s why it is always offered on first day

I think I've seen it somewhere but can not recall currently.

Would a new hire see more flying in the 145 out of ord or lga?

Yes and yes EMB-145 LGA captain displacement is what you will see. Assuming a bid is being run.

ORD on reserve. LGA when a line holder. It seems most statuses are pretty well staffed right now. Also , why everyone is questioning why we are sending min flow.

Go to Envoy. Commuting sucks worse than the better pay you'd get at the other place. Plus when there is not enough people in class, Envoy will give a comparable raise. Probably next year.

Question for anyone:
If someone has no 121 time and goes to Envoy with say 1500 hours total, do they still get displaced to Captain once they hit their 1000 121 hours?

Thanks

My issue is that I have 500pic towards the 1000 for 121 PIC from 135. Right around the time I could hold a line at Envoy, I'd be forced to upgrade.
