Anyone's got info on the age of the youngest 175 FO for tier 3 in the last few classes?

My issue is that I have 500pic towards the 1000 for 121 PIC from 135. Right around the time I could hold a line at Envoy, I'd be forced to upgrade.

You will hold a line way before you get 500 hours flown on reserve. FOs are flying around 20-25 hours a month on reserve. If you live in base, just bid reserve if you really want to avoid any chance of getting the 1000hrs 121 and getting displaced. That being said, I don’t think the CA displacements will continue for much longer as more senior FOs (who want the upgrade) will bid for CA vacancies in the near future.

What leads you to believe this? Nothing has changed.

Just my personal opinion, but the company has been aggressively recruiting prior 121 folks that are close (or already have) the 1000 hrs 121 since the last bid was run. I gotta believe there will be enough of them bidding for NYC CA vacancies to prevent any displacements. Also, at some point some of those with 0 121 time hired earlier this year will get the 1000 hrs and *want* to upgrade.

Again, just my crystal ball prediction, but i think anyone with less than 800hrs who comes here now will avoid a displacement. YMMV.

How would they know you have the hours for upgrade?

Great question... I was wondering that myself, when I was upgraded.. I never input my times to DECS. My guess would be when they hired us as “Previous Experience” pilots we had to fill out a sheet that we signed with our times to determine our seniority in the Tier 2 bid.

They came in and asked who the previous 121 guys were and had them fill out a sheet. (this is a couple of weeks ago)
I think they know, and first layer is just honesty, and I don't think you would want to get to the second layer for obvious reasons.

This. They have all of your flight time tucked away on file from your application when you got hired. They can if they need to. You don’t wanna go down the road of conveniently forgetting to upload all flight time in DECS and have them find out. They don’t take too kindly to that kind of stuff around here.

I've never seen it make it to the 3rd tier unless its a really small class. Most of those shiny 175's are gone by mid 2nd tier.

Last two classes 1/3 of 175 slots went to tier 3. 18 in class and 54 in class.
