It's simple...since Envoy is growing and expanding they require more and more bodies. There's your operational necessity. Envoy pilots shouldn't get excited taking more airplanes and opening new bases. As long as that keeps happening, the company will have an excuse to meter.

With that logic, there will never not be operational necessity. Which is why I don't think that definition would fly if pressed.

Exactly. Which is why the company has said to always expect the metered amount. ALPA has filed a grievance, but I think we all know how that will play out. Spoiler, it won't benefit us.

You found one thing we have better. Great job. While they're making way more then we are, better will, you throw out "we have better flight benefits". Damn, we will never get raises, why should we when we have better flight benefits.

You are correct. I too believe the agreement is being flat out violated. The only growth being experienced seems to be the size of the reserve list and time on reserve. Where is all the critical time we used to have?! It’s not so critical, because we are adequately/overstaffed. I think some more flows are definitely in order. I guess we will have to sit back and watch the slow motion train wreck once more

THIS TIMES A 1000!!!!

Every single 145 CA that has a line can call out sick on Christmas and we would still have reserves left over!!! Think about that! I see this growth and NHs coming and everything but things dont seem to be growing as fast as I would expect. Except there are lots of reserve pilots.

I hope you read my entire post with sarcasm, because I was laying it on pretty thick. I have ZERO desire to go to EDV and was mocking the thread starter.

This guy gets it. I want PSA to sign another concessionary contract and take the 700’s faster. Get them out of here so we can flow out.

Envoy knows they won’t lose pilots to EDV. New hires (pilots within 2yrs) would have to pay the bonus back. Year 3-4 guys would be most likely to maybe jump ship, but year 5-9 guys won’t risk missing the flow to American to chase $10-$15 an hour more for 2-3yrs. Envoy has the majority of the current pilots cornered. They would only increase money to get new hires, but I don’t think new hire numbers will decrease at all. We will get the pilots that EDV says “no thanks” to, because I think EDV will have #1 pick of the pilot pool. Envoy gets the leftovers.

Envoy gets the South pilots looking for Miami or DFW.

It really is a non choice right now for pilots up north. If you go anywhere else other than endeavor you are crazy.
