Always got the wrong vibe off him, very sad to see it confirmed somewhat. Hopefully there’s another side to this story that is credible but I kind of doubt it.

From NY Eagle Pilots Facebook today:
As I said over a week ago, I’ve tried to remain clear of union politics since I left Envoy. However, I’m Hearing disturbing news from this past MEC meeting. I’d very much like to hear the story from Karim, the only NY Rep present at the meeting. What I’ve heard thus far is shocking and if true Karim should resign at once. I’d like to hear his side though. This also allegedly happened on the record in open session and will be on the meeting minutes. If true he should resign. I have no skin in the game at Envoy anymore except wishing the best for one of the very best pilot groups in the industry; and not wanting to see them taken advantage of by somebody’s personal ambitions. That takes a dedicated person willing to fight for the priorities of the group; not for themselves. The elections are still open. I’d encourage every NY pilot to obtain a copy of the meeting minutes and to speak with ANY of the other Envoy base reps in MIA DFW ORD. I’d also strongly encourage Karim to explain to his pilots what happened, or if true just resign. |
I’ll wait to hold final judgement until it’s confirmed via another rep but if any shred of that is true, he’s gotta go.
WTF? |
This seems odd. How exactly is he trying to bypass the rules? You throw a lot of slander around but no detailed evidence.
I’m not saying you are wrong but a giant wall of text with no supporting details leaves me unconvinced. |

What makes Karim not qualified for CA status? Lack of 121 hours, or not 23 years old yet?

Does anyone have the minutes they can upload/send?
|
Haven’t read or heard the minutes, but he won’t be 23 until next February. There is a reason the FARs are in place.

He probably argued that because he would not even be in class until he was 23, he should get the award now. I don’t know what the intent of the FAR is.
That being said, from the first read through, it seems like this rep needs to work on their judgement before they are in command. |
