No! You’re wrong! He needs to go. Someone in his position who is looking to benefit himself only is not the right person for the job. There is no witch hunt here its all in the minutes. That dude needs to go.

The MEC told him they wouldn’t expend negotiating capital to benefit a single MEC member. They told him to draft a resolution LOA that could be used to help all pilots in he future in his same situation. He refused to do it so it benefited all, and insisted they do one for him.... now.
They immediately adjourned.

That’s the short version. They’re worried he gets re-elected and that they’ll be stuck working with him. Rather than make an enemy they needed a fingers off way of letting the pilots know. I offered to help.

What needs to happen if he doesn’t immediately resign or withdraw from the election (which is what they expected him to do) is for the MEC to call a special MEC meeting by teleconference for the sole purpose of approving and releasing the meeting minutes before the election is over.

Once in power, one rarely gives it up willingly. The smaller the power, and the person, the more true this is.

Wellll wasn't the chief pilot in NY in his low 20’s too? Not many want to do certain job..
