We're overstaffed, even with new jets coming, although inefficiencies such as the FO seatlock will likely lead to frantic hiring soon.

That's what I'm saying. They are not hiring "anyone with a pulse". They are pretty selective at the moment.

Yep only 2 of 4 got an offer in my group last week.

One of the guys who didn’t get picked was a former 757 FO in his fifties. You could tell he walked in extremely unprepared & was just expecting to get the job handed to him.

Yeah. These "just have a pulse" comments are laughable. It's a pretty serious interview, and you need to know your Jepps down cold.
Way more technical than Endeavor, Republic etc.

Newsflash: the so-called "pilot shortage" is over. Guys are chomping at the bit to get access to our second runner up flowthrough agreement and worst in the industry pay and work rules.

I just got an email saying my file is ready for the internal review board & I’ll be notified when it passes.

What are the chances it actually doesn’t pass?

Serious question, if a lot of people think Envoy is horrible to work for, why does the company keep growing?

That's because its a perfectly fine place to work and people come on these forums to ***** about it.

Those who truly are having a bad time are commuters on reserve, although every pilot and their mother will tell you to never commute to work in the business. They knew what they signed up for.

Or undisclosed checkride failures etc.

NoValueAviator 12-24-2018 07:09 PM

They caught and deleted a guy from my interview class for undisclosed checkride failures w/in 20 minutes so it's probably just DUIs and stuff.
