no voluntary seat lock pay for FOs

I mean the seat lock pay I’m getting right now to be a captain. Am I getting a pay cut and losing that if it happened

the seat lock thing is very vague, but overall I wouldn’t plan on it.
the whole deal would suck pretty bad whichever way you slice it.

If you cannot hold the position then you dont hold the pay either. Pretty simple.

no I mean vacancy.... lol... I know ALPA has been in contact with them. Given the conditions and all the reduction in flying I doubt their will be much movement but I hear it is still in the talks to hold a April "ish" vacancy run. Anyone else have any other info?

But seriously 03-22-2020 01:50 PM

Umm... yeah. They specifically said they weren’t running a bid, but may consider one on the future. I’m certain there will be vacancy/displacement bids when they settle into some final version of the reductions. With no new hires and no one leaving, it’s back to (more or less) a zero sum game. If there are vacancies, they come with displacements.

Hey folks. NCE here.

if I can’t continue to hold NCE but can hold either DFL or DFE, would I ONLY be eligible for DFE or if my seniority holds DFL, would I get to go back to LT or would they force me to stay EMJ even if I can hold E75?

thanks

With a displacement you get whatever your seniority can hold.

Yes, and yes (as in, it is not doing new classes).

yes, the contract is the contract. Company can’t displace, and put a caveat of no changing equipment. They would need to seek relief from the contract by way of an Loa.

Just because the company puts out a HI6 saying all training halted (I don’t know exactly what it said as I no longer work for envoy), doesn’t suddenly trump the contract.

If the company starts parking 140/145’s enmass, you’ve got bigger problems than worrying about whether you will get the base/equipment you want being bumped back to FO.

The word going around all regionals is that they are likely to stay same size and act as a shock absorber to some degree so long as they can perform. Who knows what that actually means.
