Did I know the pay when I applied? Yes I did.
Did I adjust my spending to make it work. Yes I did.

Does your great lifestyle situation reflect that of the rest of the pilots?
No it does not

Do you work twice as hard for the same amount of money as someone who makes that flying min guarantee? yes you do

Are you helping the pilot group with your little “it is not as bad cause my life is great” posts? No you do not

are you living in your own little land of unicorns not giving a f*#)$ about the rest of your peers? (ill let you answer that one)

I’ve never scratched 4K. Typical after tax take home for an FO line holder not doing OT is around $2400. That includes everything, per diem and hold backs like health insurance. To hit 4K I’d need a ton of OT (like 15+ hours) which is not always available, or to misleadingly include a retention bonus payment.

Reserve is really bad because of the implications for per diem. I make a lot less on reserve.

You could always become a KoolAid guzzling, management friendly, Envoy cheer leader and make cheesy YouTube videos, but I think that job is taken and has its own thread.

Then there is the KoolAid guzzling, management friendly, Envoy cheer leader that fills APC with his own version of rainbows and unicorns. Not sure how he is compensated though, and I think there is only room for one of those as well.

All jokes aside, if the OP is still listening... If you live in base and have the time, maybe consider becoming a realtor. It's not pricey to get the certs you need most places, and your success is mostly based on your own skill development and what you put into it. It's a serious backup plan if you lose your med/license too.

I have heard that doing something in real estate is a good back up. Thanks.

Yall whinin saying “i get paid a lot more than you, im making $xx etc.” should be ashamed of yourselves. Nobody cares if youre making more. But the vast majority are making guarantee pay...which is roughly $2000 (first year fo) you cant count per diem as income. Dont whine and complain that youre making more....nobody cares, and frankly hopes to never fly with you.

Dera is obviously one of the management characters that posts over on the other forum as well. Even uses the same phrases.

"Poor financial planning"

We are the lowest paid regional! Why are you bringing up that it's technically possible if you invent a new form of mathematics to make what an endeavor pilot makes?

Management shill. You're not fooling anyone.

Exactly. Sorry but $2,000 is not easy to work every month with a wife and kid and a house, on one income. Its doable but jack **** in savings.

Hence the need for a second income. Thinkin real estate just not sure what aspect of it to get into

dera is on all the other boards cheerleading Envoy and how great life is there. Probably why you guys are still filling classes. He/she/they/it could be the singular reason why you guys can't get a new pay agreement ratified.

You could be a shoe shine guy or one of the massage people while on reserve. Get the two hour call out, and then just finish with the last customer before shutting down for the day.
