Ric uses a special kind of math that is taught at an offshore school. Don't question his methods, he is always right.

AA pay rates if we don’t flow in 5.6 years?

Yeah. At least your pay stub should show the voodoo math of why you still only have Envoy take home with AA pay rates.

I can’t understand why AA is projected to hire 1/2 of what United will and 1/3 of what delta will in the next 18 months.

AA has said 300 new hires this fall, and AT LEAST 600 next year. How many are United and Delta saying they are hiring in that time frame?

In 2018 they pumped through 939 in a calendar year. That was the high point through the schoolhouse since pre-9/11. That was two decades ago.

Delta has said 150/month this fall and 200/month in 2022. That’s 2400 pilots in 2022. I don’t think any of the majors has ever hired more than 100/month. If they have cracked that number, certainly wasn’t for long.

I agree, Largest in the history were:
American 1171 in 2000
Delta 1206 in 2016
United 1032 in 2000
Southwest 759 in 2018

(I did not include mergers)

Does Delta have more sims on order? Always seems to be the limiting factor. They can rent hotel ball rooms for lectures, if needed.
