I know you personally and I know you have better knowledge than me of what went down in his office. With that said then he deserves what’s coming to him then.

It's not BS. I know absolutely nothing about the guy. But I do know his name is known on the AA side of the fence. I've heard that much.

So your telling me we as Pilots we don't know the uniform policy?? And when we don't follow company guidelines or policy and we get disciplined for it, we as Pilots don't take accountability. Ive been here almost 20 years and management changes routinely, but company policy and guidelines rarely change. I've broken a few of them and paid the price, but I took responsibility for those actions. No ones fault but mine. If you are in that office, then you are being watched as you aren't doing the job you are hired to do.
CW wasn't always right, but who is. Too much finger pointing doesn't fix anything unless your doing in front of a mirror.

Someone read RW's Christmas present, but change should start from the top ... It would be nice to have a much less toxic and hostile company culture so people in all departments start going out of their little lanes and can apply common sense, but hey that would make this place actual desirable to work for, besides the pay and QOL issues.

He didn’t ”allow DJ to do that,” she did it on her own accord and he shut it down when he found out. Lets not forget he’s the one who fired her.

I never had any issues with CW in my time in ORD. The previous NY CP, now that’s a different story...

THIS right here is the perfect example of the major culture difference between Envoy and AA. I spent 22 years over there and can vouch for this sort of tick-tack disciplinary behavior by some Chiefs. It was much too common over there and was a reflection of how senior management viewed their employees. In stark contrast, in the 6-1/2 years I've been on the AA side, I've had nothing but very polite, very professional treatment from all the Chiefs I've dealt with. They have always treated us with dignity and respect here. Uniform policy enforcement? Trust me, the pilots here adhere to the policy to about the same extent as their Envoy brethren, yet I have NEVER heard of any chief giving a rat's a$$ about enforcing uniform policy. They have better things to worry about.

The fact that the poster above is so smug about this speaks volumes. I hope he or she stays on that side of the fence, and if not, then NEVER works his or way into a Chief pilot's position.

I’ve been “bragging” about CW every chance I get. And am surprised when some already know about him. Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
