Something along the lines of “Our position is that, without negotiated compensation for such training, (Extra cbt’s)any training administered by the Company violates our contract. However, we advise pilots to complete the training assigned to them by the Company – even if it is unpaid”

contract is being violated yet we want you guys to go ahead with it anyway..

Not trying to union bash, but I've also had similar experiences. Being told to not negotiate in public and then going to phone/email and being told they can't discuss anything. I also asked about setting up informational picketing and was told the they weren't gonna set it up but I could do it on my own if I wanted during the AIP event, but now they're sending emails about picketing in support of APA, which I'm not saying you shouldn't, but why couldn't we get the same support for Envoy during our negotiations?

I thought the same thing when I saw that email.

Haven’t y’all learned? Socialist groups only put forth effort when it benefits those at the head of the table.

I heard from a credible source that this is being actively discussed with the company. But the current contract (both 14-06 and 17.E) only talks about CQ and QC. Not these corporate CBTs. So there's no contractual language about them.
No one is getting fired over these modules. But they can yank your travel benefits if you skip the travel module. I would do that one.

This was my thought as well. These are required by everyone for travel. That being said, we should still be paid for the 10-15 minutes it takes to do it.

When I was a contract compliance volunteer, roughly 80% of the grievances had inadequate or no evidence. When I called/emailed the pilot they either kept no evidence at all or even if they did have it were too lazy to upload it (or even email it to me so i could upload it) to the system.
