I'm not sure what reason they would retaliate unless you added a particularly derogatory comment to your signature. It's just a petition which carries no weight.

I realize there is no contractual basis for it, but I think the union should be at least REGULARLY bugging the company about it. IDK that there is anything else they are doing that they couldn’t at least put a bug in their ear.
Again, I realize this isn’t contractual, but I honestly think that there could be a very good argument that the company violated the status quo and that taking this away was retaliatory in nature and a work action. I think there is a pretty direct correlation between when the company has taken away QT when they didn’t get something or other from the pilots/union. You know if things were the other way, the company would jump all over the union and pilots and get a court injunction.

Yeah. Honestly IDK, but as much as I want QT back, I’m not inclined to sign the petition.

And yeah, I didn't sign the petition either. I don't think there'd be harm, but I'm not willing to bet on it.

Times like these show that every little thing needs to be in the contract or it's going away the moment it doesn't benefit the company.
I'm surprised there's no alternative that at least makes typing in all those codes easier. Maybe a menu of some sort that resembles CCI but with more options to support all the saber codes and RF messages and lets you copy-paste the text into FOS. They cant take an app away that doesn't require or need access to function anyway. I think the hardest part of all this is simply remembering what code is for what and what silly format it's required to be in.

Yeah that works but lots of the pfkeys would need to be deleted again to put in the day/month ranges or sequence numbers, etc. I guess i could use some shorthand to make it quicker but it still sucks.
