I cant possibly see how this will help them. Guess our reserve pilots need to get ready to start working because I couldn't pick up a trip through decs to save my life lol. I know they are ****ed about not signing that LOA for open time, but this is another low blow.

Time to overload CS with bogus RFs

phone calls too |
The last one to leave turn out the lights

I’m going to pick up a turn in honor of our fallen app.

Looks like it's not even letting me sign in through Quicktrade to have a look at OT. Yeah, this is definitely a move to essentially withhold OT.

At least it's still pretty easy to look up reserve assignments in CCI. Should have no problem appropriating if that's your thing.

Also the extension was given so that proves the April 3rd date was a squeeze tactic as well. |

They’ll pull that too now. |
Eff these mf'rs, srsly.

I was all for trying to save the company money until now. After this sleazy low blow guess what I’ll be doing every time I get to the curb. I’ll be starting a timer and when that timer hits 15 minutes I’ll be taking a cab to the hotel courtesy of Envoy.
|
Yes, but he did say sorry.
That makes it all better now. 🤬🤬 |
Guess they’re convinced the LOAs are gonna be successful and they won’t need to ask us for anything else before they furlough in October
comes across as very petty and vindictive, people used QT for much more than poaching likely cancelled turns out of open time |
How long will QT be down for? ALPA help!!!
|
Guessing, well after covid19 is over

And for what it's worth, appropriation is the reason the company has wanted to take back LOA 13-13 since before this month. Just pointing out there are still simple ways to go out and get some premium flying without QT. |
I find it interesting that if WE don't like what the company does and "change our behavior" like the amount of OT we pick up, it's considered an illegal work action. But it's OK for the company to say it's OK to use this app, but only if we vote for the LOA they want us to vote for.
I just don't see much difference. Sounds like a great legal action for ALPA to take. |

Its also a bit of an idle threat. Are you planning on calling in sick for the rest of you career? That’s going to be a short career. |
I now fully understand why the protected pilots hated this place and management.
I knew we were dealing with rats but I didn’t know they would go that low. An hour after we sign that bs CSLOA they shut down QT? They are playing with the pilot group. |

What kind of black magic do PSA and PDT use for their OT and trading? It would still loop into DECS right? Think we can jump on that until our dear QT is restored?

Good for you, it's one of the most misunderstood and underutilized part of our contract. I wish more people did this.
You wait until it is assigned to a reserve then at 5pm call and tell crew schedule you want to “appropiate” whatever trip it is. This will give YOU the OT premium and whoever is on reserve will go back to reserve. I am putting this out there just in general so people get an idea of how it works. |
I'm not sure but I dont think psa and pdt use decs.

Hold on sparky... let's try to keep the reserve guy in mind. I am all for appropriating flying for more OT. But don't call at 5pm. If the dude has proffered for a trip with a 6pm show on day 1 so that he can commute in, but you appropriate it before he can confirm, then he gets sent back to his default RAP 1 with no way of getting to work on time. It would be nice to at least give him a heads up to confirm before you call so that he can keep his show time and then get his cancellation hotel.
I recommend a PM through the appropriate facebook group. I do think a reserve guy, if he wants that late PM show time to stick, should call in to AVRS so that there is no hold time on the line. If you call to appropriate, even if you call right on the 5pm time... you will hold. It's been a while since I was on reserve but I don't remember having to hold on the automated AVRS line. ALSO, you can have yourself listed on the reserve turnback list to keep yourself from being removed. You can also remove yourself from said list at any time, including right before you depart. This falls under the most misunderstood part of our contract I referenced earlier. |

This falls under the most misunderstood part of our contract I reference earlier. Frankly, I wish the turnback list never existed. It keeps people from making money while the reserve flies for free. I understand commuters feel they need to use it to protect their hotel, but they shouldn't. Also, in the above situation, I don't believe the turnback list will save the late show if the reserve hasn't confirmed. I'll have to try it out next month when I am back on reserve. We need to develop some courtesies to be used among each other. It's a shame that we are conditioned to use a system that has us acting like people of Walmart scrapping over the last pack of toilet paper. There's got to be a better way. |
