A seniority number with fencing is the only thing to keep people from leaving.

I know Envoy pilots might think it’s better to wait for flow or UAL, just curious if you might actually build enough hours your first two years at Envoy to be considered by one of these two as I always hear Envoy lacks in building your jet time.
Yes there are tons of FOs with class dates at LCCs and JB

Not going to happen. That would cost AA all their military and other OTS hires. Then they really WOULD have to increase flow to the point it would collapse the WOs anyway. They can’t afford that. And they currently have no hiring problems at mainline.

I sort of wonder what the people who are banking on flowing are thinking right now with all this outside attrition. Do they actually imagine that Envoy will flow itself into not being able to staff flights? We're on the cusp of that already and looking at the vacancy vs. the staffing levels in certain seats, it is going to get much worse. They might flow for a couple months after they need to stop because that's how this place is, no foresight or planning, but after that they're probably going to overreact.

I hope this isn't how it goes. This short term thinking will backfire and blow up the WOs with mad attrition like 2013. It would be very in-character for Envoy/AA though.

Double the current flow and send half back to the RJ for a year or 2. OTS and Military completely unaffected.

What? This is incoherent.

I think what he means is flow to mainline, then do a type of TDY back to the regional while drawing mainline pay & seniority.

That may be the thought, but just as far out that there that it’s still illogical.

APA pilots are already at WOs on loan from mainline. They flowed or where hired then returned to their WO, it is already happening for non seniority list positions.

The AA DO or whoever releases them to outside employment at the WO, and their longevity and seniority are protected at AA. They are considered “on special assignment” by AA.

You think it’s illogical because you didn’t know it was already happening, or illogical for mass seniority based positions like LCA, sim instructors, maybe line CAs?
