It’s just ridiculous. Every time I go on fb or one of the hiring interview prep boards I see another person (not a wholly owned pilot) getting hired at AA or interviewing and they are usually less qualified than most people I know at the WOs. AA clearly has a stop gap filter in place on WO pilots.

Just talked to a former PSA pilot. He said some FOs there were hired by AA recently, bypassing the flow...

Normally the flow beaters have something really special. Sometimes you can tell instantly by looking at them, but other times it’s .mil or nepotism. All the f/w mil guys from my NH class are long gone, they came here to ink a type and get current and were hired right seat to right seat straight away.
