The generic "thank you for your patience as we are still working through transitioning....." email I received when I checked up says, and I quote:

"Once we are closer to your name you shall recive a call plus an email about the next available basic INDOC class."

So it sounds like you'll get a call and email both.

Best of luck to you (us)!!

I also heard Envoy thinks they have hired all the pilots they need for the rest of the year. There are a lot of FOs with around 1,000 hours now so the push for DECs is over. This means pilots are unlikely to be pushed to the back of the line when DECs apply, but some people might be waiting until the end of the year for class dates. Unless enough people get jobs somewhere else and they have to start interviewing again.

When the legacy airlines start hiring lots of pilots again, Envoy will also have to spool up training. Meanwhile they are going to keep you hanging until they need you because they know they can easily hire another pilot if necessary. Just remember it's not personal. A business mostly cares about the numbers.

Keep in mind this is rumors gleaned from the Envoy training department and my personal opinion.
We continue to have daily near zero'd out or zero'd out captain reserves (PHX doesn't count, they're the country club of Envoy.) RAP1s are basically wiped clean by 8am.
Yes, more FOs are now reaching their 1,000 hours but the training numbers are down and supposedly sim instructors are coming back to the line? Who's gonna train these would be captains? Meanwhile we continue to receive an average of 2 aircraft per month for the remainder of 2024 and what? Another 12 minimum next year? The hiring math ain't mathing and it shows with the CA reserves stretched thin.

Math ain't mathing at all. Even on the FO side, we get zero'd out fairly often. Completely a** backwards of what it usually is. Not sure why we've decided to stop hiring and limit the vacancies in DFW when both CA and FO lists are zero'd out by 12pm on a non-wx day.

For the current Envoy pilots - you don't see a total shutdown in onboarding new pilots this year, similar to American, do you?

Are there enough crews to man all the new aircraft coming in? As a cancelled May 9th orientation guy, I hope that we at least will have a seat at the table.

Total shutdown? No. Definitely a slowdown though. Its hard to say how well staffed we are at the moment. Both on the FO side and CA side of the reserve list gets zero'd out fairly often so we could definitely do with more of both. Each base is growing with more lines being added each month to support the new aircraft that are being delivered. Hiring usually slows down in the summer so I'd expect it to pick up again in the fall. That is just me looking at my magic 8 ball though.

They have posted 65 captain vacancies and 175 FO vacancies for the next bid in the first week of July. Some people will change bases and some will upgrade, there might or might not be forced upgrades, but there will still be FO vacancies per their projections. They might think they are helping staffing by sending sim instructors to fly the line during the busy summer.

I don't feel like Envoy's staffing models have ever been very accurate. I took a delay a couple nights ago while they scrambled to find me an available FO, the original got stuck in an outstation.

Has anyone heard from them this week? There should be another indoc starting on Monday if the previous indoc schedule continues. Based off what they told me, I should be hearing from them next week to be scheduled for ATP-CTP and be given my indoc date. When they told me they scheduled everyone in the May group, they most likely scheduled them but did not reach out because they will most likely only give a two weeks notice for drug test and fingerprinting.

For those that have their ATP are we expecting sooner dates? Are they still doing orientations prior to indoc or is all the same at Envoy?

Piedmont has stopped hiring and rescinded CJOs.

Will Envoy follow, as well as PSA??
