What an obvious statement, over 50% of domestic flying is done by regionals, of course it's "important". Envoy still does over 1000 departures a day if I'm not mistaken, of course that's "important". On a serious note though, why is he even talking about regional feed to APA? Pilots want the regional model to go away, not be told how important it is.

I think he is discounting how much attrition will begin to spiral as buddies who have left report back and tell how much better being paroled from Eaglevoy is. Of particular concern should be the latest groups moving expat.....the pay over there is astronomical compared to what an FO or young Captain is making here at US regionals. Plus the movement and opportunity is much larger as well. Buddies will help buddies get hired. Before he knows it Doug the drinker will be back at the bar wondering how so many pilots left so fast.

Didn't AMR state a month ago that they already know who's getting new flying? Where's the announcement?

Don't think they said they had awarded the flying, just that they had been in contact with some other regionals to do the flying. It wasn't announced until very recently who had actually bid on the flying. It's kind of a tricky process as nobody will be able to staff all 60 175's so they are going to have to divide it up.
