I agree there, most of the flying "regionals" do should be back at mainline. I was just speculating, I don't really believe that was his goal but it would certainly be interesting if it was.

The day the judge approved the merger 95% of the pilots on the list at that time are furlough protected.
True however section 1.E.2 of the EGL contract states the following...

In the event the Company sells, leases or transfers an Operating Asset to an air carrier transferee, and such transfer has resulted or may reasonably be expected to result in the furlough of one or more Company pilots, the Company will use its reasonable best efforts to obtain employment with the applicable air carrier transferee for the pilots furloughed or likely to be furloughed (if any) as a result of such transfer as and when such air carrier transferee hires pilots. Provided that the air carrier transferee permits it, a Company pilot employed by an air carrier transferee under this paragraph E.2 will have the same recall rights under Section 16 of this Agreement as if Page 10 the pilot had been furloughed, with recall in seniority order among all pilots on furlough or who transferred from the Company.
The JOB PROTECTIONS Letter 13-02 merely provides additional furlough protection if aircraft were sold, and Envoy Air could not obtain employment for you at the carrier where the assets were transferred.

Well that's how AAG probably reads it anyway.

Just a typical play by management from the old union busting playbook.

First, the carrot - Shiny new jets...that did not work

Second, the stick - You will all lose your jobs / not make Captain / not hold the base you want to hold...seems like it might be working based on the responses I am reading on here

Next - Expect management to put out another concessionary deal to your union while the majority of your pilot group vote in the cuts because they are motivated by a false sense of fear

Enjoy your upcoming pay cut while you will begin flying better revenue generating aircraft for American.

Sounds like its time to be very conscious of your health and call in if not 100%. I would also be aggressively safe in preflight inspections.

I do not think our pilot group will agree to any concessions. I know I will not.

I wont, let them shut this place down. remember supply demand, when there are less of a supply of feeders and the demand is there for the feeders, the price for the feed goes up for the mainline. so let them shut this place down, it will just cost them more for the same service than they had. this is called stupid airline management decisions. kinda like song, metro jet, delta express, ted and cal lite

You are wrong, this is not what the Job Protection LOA states. Read below, and please provide me language that describes your comment above! Below is what the LOA states in our current situation.

"2. If Eagle is divested or AMR and/or AA merges with another carrier while Eagle remains wholly owned, furlough protection will be provided to 95% of the Eagle pilots on the Eagle pilot system seniority list as of the date of the approval by the Bankruptcy Court of the restructuring agreement. The Company will produce a current pilot system seniority list as of the date of the approval by the Bankruptcy Court of the restructuring agreement and the Parties will determine the most junior pilot who will receive furlough protection in the event that this provision becomes applicable. In the event that Eagle is merged with another carrier and a seniority list integration occurs, the furlough protection will only apply to pilots on the original Eagle system seniority list as identified in this paragraph 2."

"4. In the event that Eagle is employing surplus pilots due to the furlough protection provided as described in either paragraph 1. or 2. above, AA will increase the percent of training slots in AA new hire classes available to Eagle pilots as follows:

a. Shouldthesurplusoccurwhenthepilotsinthe“824”groupa reentering AA new hire training, AA will offer a minimum of 60% of the new hire training slots to Eagle pilots under the 824 Nicolau award (FLO-0108).

b. ShouldthesurplusoccurwhentheProtectedPilotsareente ringAAnew hire training, AA will offer a minimum of 50% of the new hire training slots to Eagle pilots under the Protected Pilot LOA."

And as far as 1.e.2, we don't own the assets! The airplanes are owned by AAG, we used to own them but there was a grievance and a resulting settlement that yielded the protected pilots.

What, don't entertain Joliet the troll. He's some managers kid whose a pilot and is loving the pipe dream of a fast upgrade at psa. He forgets that he made a deal with the devil to get it and there's no real gold, the coals coming.

A buddy of mine just started at PSA this week and he says there are 27 in the class. Their gs instructors are salivating at the thought of getting Envoy's -700s. Unconscionable.
