Why would envoy alpa mec care if they re-engaged in negotiations with aag that this would delay aag completing its discussions with other carriers, I for one could care less if they were delayed in completing negotiations. AAG wants it both ways, well summer is here and they cant cover one pilot groups actions with another. It will be a fun time this summer, hope aag has a good sense of humor, it was aag's doing. since aag wants to shut this place down, they should not complain when we help it along to this final conclusion as aag wants it to be. APA is fighting aag as we speak, they are just keeping it quiet at aag, they don't want everyone to know they are as bad if not worse than the amr management group they replaced. It's actually AA groups fault to think that Parker was their savior. Now everybody is surrounded by deep ****... So, once again...we get screwed... |

They are worse, but remember that APA, AFA, and other workers group were all in for the merger. They also wanted to punish Horton bringing DougieP as the CEO.

Well, we've had a lot of problems with 117 and reserve. APA made a proposal that solves those for the most part, including separate long call/short call lines. Management accepted. Previously, Horton would have given us the finger and dragged us to arbitration, so hopefully it's a good sign of things to come relationship wise, at least on the AA side.

Too bad. I think you should've taken it.
In this case, I think the lateral move would benefit you, in terms of moving on to a Legacy. |

This is 100% correct. It is too bad. A guy that got hired with me at my old regional in 2007 wanted to come over to Compass back when I made the move but wasn't able to financially. The 1st year is miserable but 2nd year is actually a .50 cent raise over my previous carrier's 7th year FO pay. So if you can make though the first year then you're golden at this point. Anyway...like I said, not everyone can do it financially and I get it. Now, if you don't think it will help your advancement and that's why you don't want to do it then I think you're a little crazy.

It's a gamble, everything in this career is a gamble. I thought the chances of it working we're pretty high, so that wasn't the factor that eventually turned me away. Not being paid for a month whe I did CBT (I think they give you 15 hours pay), paying my own lodging, and somehow getting to MSP on day 1 was where I couldn't work it out.
I've got an extra bedroom for anyone who needs one during training, just can't provide a car to get you to the training center. I would hope other guys in the area would be willing to help out those needing rooms too. |
Is Envoy hiring these days? What are the class sizes?
When are the 700s going to DFW? Can a new hire bid that? Thanks! |
