If we haven't heard anything yet there either wasn't a proposal or it wasn't good, back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Once again... Chill! |

Why would the union broadcast this offer all over the web and allow people here to debate publicly how low they are willing to go? Doesn't really help our cause now, does it?

We'll make sure to give them a warm welcome too...

No but telling your pilots whether or not there was or was not a proposal harms no one and precludes pointless speculation. No one expects details. The silence tells me there is nothing going on.
Satiated? |

Are you kidding me? Call your reps. The NY reps have come our and said things are being discussed and that they are negotiating. There is absolutely something going on. Whether it turns into something that makes it to the pilot group is another matter. |

Fellow Envoy Pilots:
Yesterday, we met with company executives to receive a presentation of their ideas and solutions on how to achieve the structure they desire while providing a compensation model that respects the product we provide as professionals. We are working to reconcile their ideas with the expectations and direction that you have provided through your LEC representatives. Once that process is complete, the MEC will meet and decide on a response. We will post the details of our status once the MEC has chosen the path forward. Fly Safe, Bill Sprague MEC Chairman |
More vague bull crap! We need a real union.
|
Also confirmed that Mesa is moving their CLT operation to DFW. More bright news for envoy.

I couldnt be happier with the people we have in place now. More support from national would always be great but there is little we can do with that.

If rumors are true, I can't wait to vote

I too like our guys, but their hands are tied because of national, that is the problem. We need a new union besides alpa.
A.) Regional Airlines should exist B.) You should be able to make a career at a regional If you disagree with either of these, then yes a union other than ALPA should be desired. |
Hey guys. As you may remember my previous posts, I received the pre-offer on Monday and I was told they would call me Friday (yesterday) after the Captain's Board meeting. But I didn't receive a call. Should I be worried? Or did someone in HR just not call me because it was a Friday afternoon?

I wouldn't worry about it. My guess is they didn't meet like they usually do because of the job fair in Dallas Friday.

Gracias. I'm was hoping to hear before Wednesday so I know whether or not to go ahead with other interviews. I'd rather not take 2 days off work and pay for a hotel if it's not necessary. I guess we'll see.

It is obvious he wants to come here. He is worried about getting hired. Maybe this once you could have withheld your bitterness about Envoy. From my standpoint, you were being a jerk. Not everyone hates Envoy, and that does make those people ill inform or doltish.

I'm pretty certain you got the job! It's very rare that the captains review board turns someone down after they've already had a successful interview... Unless they find something out about you afterwards which wasn't disclosed.
As far as the naysayers... every company has people who hate working there. Other instructors I have worked with at my current job hated working here, meanwhile I'm very happy. The way I look at Envoy is, I'll get to fly a jet, hopefully live in base or have a short commute, build experience, and enjoy a $10,000 signing bonus. Sounds good to me. |

Sweet. My friend who is an FO also said they're short on captains and probably didn't have time to meet.

I don't know where you live but if it isn't MIA then I can recommend a better regional to work for without a commute. 3. That 10,000 signing bonus won't mean squat when you're a 7 year FO and if you had made a better career choice you'd have been a CA somewhere else after 3 years. Good luck to you, if you're coming to this steaming pile you'll need it. |

How can new hires expect to become 7 year f/o's? Statistically speaking the conveyer belt has to run faster than that to keep up with staffing at the majors. IMO the last period of stagnation is over. Am I missing something?
