The only thing ridiculous here is how a supposed fellow ALPA carrier (PSA) screwed us and the rest of the industry royally by setting a new lower standard at the worst possible time imaginable, just when things are swinging in pilots favor. If "everyone" of us regionals just stuck together and collectively voted hell no, the whipsaw and their unjustified money grabs would be broken. There would be no "concessions for jets" BS TA's in a highly skilled profession like this. But no... Places like PSA and pilots flocking to Gojet type deals undermine and make it virtually impossible for the rest of us to ever negotiate upwards. Even in times of record profits, less pilots, massive retirements looming and pt 117!! Now that.. Is ridiculous.

There it is^^

Eagle held the line, PSA didn't.

American Eagle the airline was going away also, hence the name change to Envoy and the American Eagle branded name. This is AAG ' s doing. If you want to be mad at a Psa pilot go ahead, but in my opinion you're mad at the wrong people.Psa had turned down 2 other contracts years ago if I'm not mistaken. So they voted yes this time and Pdt will too I believe. Will you hate them as well? Every regional out there takes its turn of being the most hated and talked about.Years ago it was Mesa, then Gulf stream, then gojet, then republic. Now it's psa, tmrw it will be Pdt , then someone else.
Get over it, enough already guys. What's done is done. Deal with it and move on.Worry about the things you can change, pray about the things you can't change and be wise enough to know the difference.
Finally, a normal human being!! You said it pal....This is all upper management bull****. Things we cant do a damn thing about. This is not the doing of the pilots and all this bashing is downright stupid. You want to bash on someone, bash on management who are the ****ers responsible for making these decsions. Very well said idlethrust!!

The problem most Envoy guys have, PSA pilots were willing accomplices. And after reading some of these posts, it would seem ya'll enjoy being a company lackey but not the label.

Yup. Take one thing I've said out of context and run with it. That's what we're all good at when trying to find a scapegoat. In case you really didn't know what I was referring to, it's the fact that eagle NC wanted to secure the first 360 new hires for AA before hiring a single PSA or PDT pilot. That was the only ridiculous expectation I'm talking about but I guess that qualifies me to ride the short bus.

But ideally I agree with everything else you've said. It would never happen as proven by the past 20 years in the regionals industry but hey maybe you know something they didn't know back then. We have plenty of ex comair guys at PSA and I'm sure they'll tell you all about whipsaws and how their metals are flying at ASA and Go Jets while they get to start from the bottom after 15-20 years into their career. Every one of them will agree that PSA would've closed shop had we voted the TA down. The recent news of Eagle losing 47 aircraft proves what our mighty fleet of 49 aircraft with only 14 of them being somewhat valuable means to AA; A fart in the wind is what they're worth. We don't have furlough protection or any flow like Eagle to fall back on. Considering all that, I think we have plenty stand up folks at PSA who voted no knowing they can lose their jobs. Name ONE Eagle pilot who was afraid of being on the street for voting no. Don't even bring up XJT/Republic/Silver as they're a whole different breed and their no vote was easier to cast than Eagle's.

Come to think of it, didn't eagle get their furlough protection from the overwhelming yes vote on your concessions not too long ago? I guess when your jobs are on the line it's okay to vote yes?

You've been told repeatedly that is not true. Check your facts, and stop repeating and spreading lies.

What are you smoking?? Not a single person denied this. I wasn't even sure if it was public knowledge within eagle but I guess it was. You're the first who said it's not true so I have no idea where I was told repeatedly it's not true.
