You can do that very quickly by going to Trans States and probably make more than you do today if you have enough hours

Trans States has a lot of FOs without PIC mins, so new guys can bid for and make captain very soon...when I was there some guys got their Capt bid while in INDOC.

Pinnacle guys getting $20,000 a year retention bonuses? Even the bean counters at Delta could see that Comair wasn't that expensive.
Delta cut off their nose to spite their face. They never forgave Comair for striking and winning. They had to show CMR ALPA and the rest of the regional industry what happens to minions who dare think they are worthy of livable wages and work rules in a segment who's business model is designed to NOT have them.

So far the managements have been winning. The lack of applicants may one day change things but for now the quick upgrades at the bottom feeders are attracting newhires to the lowest common denominators.

Ten years ago, when Delta moved planes between their regionals, the registration got changed (xxxBR to xxxCA or xxxAS to xxxSW), etc.

Lately you see a lot of xxxCA aircraft flying in the other fleets. Maybe a way to save money... or maybe Delta's little reminder of what happens to those that step out of line?
