I also believe that once AAG mainline is more or less fully integrated and all the groups there have their CBAs set AAG will set their sights on cleaning up and rationalizing the feed side of the house. Again, I have no proof of this, it's just a hunch.

I believe Parker said something like this early on after the merger... someone with a bit more motivation could probably find it on one of the newsletters, etc. Mainline going to a single certificate (next month supposedly) will be a big step towards that.

The Embraers recently committed to TSA and XJT have very short contracts. Surprisingly, even the aircraft committed to PDT have a potential recall date.

The end number of feeders stated publicly was six. Whether you like Parker or not he follows through on what he states in public.

You can't go by what makes sense. Nothing in this business makes sense ever, espeially if it would save money. PDT will be flying the Dash until 2018 and maybe beyond, along with some145s. As cute as it would be to see some Envoy folks displaced to the Dash 8, I wouldn't worry about any merger nonsense anytime soon. Now go watch the tourney, it's more exciting.

Damage control ehh? How is it useless? I actually screwed up: it has been 4 out of 6 based closes in 3 years. I think it important for those looking to get into aviation that the writing is on the wall at envoy.

How is it useful?
I'll tell you how: It isn't. It's looking for a little internet popularity by speculating about someone else's misery.
Popularizing this demise to "protect" people from applying here works against the people who would like this place to continue existing.
Truly, if you're not with us you are acting against us.
