What is the quickest equip to upgrade in ORD? How long is upgrade currently? Thx for the info.

As a new hire it does not matter which equipment you get. It's all one list and you can upgrade into different equipment if you wish. Currently upgrade time is about 5-6 years. But that should start to drop since we have very few pilots hired 2012-2015.

So Pedro's thanksgiving email drops some huge rumors. Envoy is currently planning on opening up more bases. "Bases" as in plural. MIA has always been rumored to reopen even before it shut. LA is the only other possible one I can think of that has been thrown around the rumor mill.

Mx base = LIT
crew base = NYC

I wouldn't read anymore into it than that.

So, I'm sorry if this is a dumb question, but I really want to know the answer.

Everyone raves about how great the scheduling program (SAP) is at PSA. Why can't Envoy adopt the same system? Wouldn't that solve a lot of scheduling problems?

So if your pre-assigned RAP is 4am. Someone junior to you gets 10am RAP, then that means you are supposed to get 10am RAP? Is that the interpretation? Because I'm sure the company wouldn't think so.

That's what I took away from the email. From the News Blast "In short, the Company can pre-assign 0400 RAPs, however the daily proffering (and confirming) protocols are controlling. Arbitrator LaRocco made it very clear that if a senior pilot proffers for, and is denied a RAP that a junior pilot receives, this situation should be corrected and made right."

Well, as you said, the senior pilot would/should get 10 AM as well if they also proffered for it So the whole list could get 4 AM pre-assigned, and a junior guy could proffer 10 AM. The junior guy would then likely get 10 AM, and the senior folks would still have 4 AM. But if the whole list proffered for the 10 AM, and the junior guy got it but the seniors didn't, the arb was saying THAT would be a problem and would need to be resolved by the senior folks also getting 10 AM. It did NOT say that any time a junior guy gets 10 AM, everyone gets 10 AM -- that'd just be crazy :)

Just wanted to clear it up for highflyer.

Why would the company give us something that cost them money. PSA management doesn't like sap.
