Save your "the world can end tomorrow and therefore the flow will stop" excuses.

This post implies that Envoy will flow everyone to AA on property ("your seniority and JUNIOR) in 5 years or less. Yet, on another thread your tag-team buddy claims the only people making these claims are management and people like me and yet here you are implying just that (the flow is among other things based on the associated upgrade/new-hire claim).

I guess the old "one-trick pony" has at least picked a very accurate trick, eh ?

There's a new manager for sim training that's trying to make a name for himself.

Choose wisely......

Were any of those 10 no-shows? Any military who got other offers? Again I'm not sure why you have taken up this vendetta. Our failure rate has increased, but I don't think you paint an accurate picture.

Ya this isn't true.. Anyone that does get terminated in training. It is rightfully so. It's because their is no way they will safely make it in the 121 world.
No one is out there to make a name for themselves.

Not true...

When I was in recurrent one of the sim instructors told us about a few new hires that got through ground school and sims did 100 hours of IOE still couldn't be signed off. They sent those guys back to the sims and worked with them on line flying for 10 more hours in the sim. Sent them back out for25 more hours of IOE and they were good enough to sign off at that point.

So tell me again... How is our school house trying to fail people? Give me a break.

Pilot number, emp no., position , base, and plane all let go in November. The last 2, I'm told, didn't make it through IOE.

6 guys in my class didn't make it. One had an attitude and couldn't even get through the PV, and they asked for his resignation letter. Another guy couldn't handle the stress and left. 4 more guys struggled in sims and the company did what they could to help them but they couldn't keep up. Nobody was out to get these guys.

Again, do you know these are failures? How many are no-shows? How many took jobs elsewhere?

Honestly I don't know, a senior instructor told me that they let go around a dozen a month. That correlates with what has been posted for the last few months.

Take it for what you will.

Great questions. Wouldn't it be awesome to have an association that would provide that information to us on a monthly or even quarterly basis? Wouldn't it be great to have numbers on where our pilots are going with accurate attrition reports? How nice would it be to have this information given to us without relying on a forum post where people have to chime in on where people have went.

Is there a reason why the company and SAPA want to report false attrition numbers?? Maybe it's kept secret for the same privacy reasons behind the PBS bids?? Nothing to see here. Just tell us your favorite flavor and we will get you a refill.

Caution Terrain 12-01-2015 11:30 AM

To the OP:
skywest PBS slants heavily toward the company.
Scheduling deliberately violates reserves.

Once you make it to the line holding side there are many facets to SkyWest. 200 flying ORD is different from 7/9 lines out west.

Overall, it's not horrible. It's about as good as it needs to be for a regional and being out of LA you have PSP and LAX for options.

Compass is not a bad option either, but they'll have a comparable upgrade time by next year. They will most likely stay Junior in LAX though, so that's huge.
