Darn it...if it wasn't for that dumb thing called a contract that CP has with AA. Oh well.

Those planes are AAs, Parker need to make his WO attractive. He already said that if is cheaper to make it in house that's the way to go. Bringing those 175 in house it's a way to attract pilots.
It's not about the performance, is about the price. Nice argument but new hires don't go to a Regional based on a plane....they go for the base and then money...unless Envoy takes back LAX from us I doubt taking those planes away and staffing them in DFW or whatever other base they want to open (MIA rumor) will attract new hires.... |

It's AA who owns a bunch of the Compass 175s, not Envoy. But the title implies that Envoy pilots think of themselves as AA pilots. Hence, "Envoy to retrieve..." (vs. "AA to retrieve...") ...as if Envoy owns them! I bet at least 1/2 the Envoy pilot group tell people they meet that they fly for American Airlines. Cracks me up. |

Some guys are in compass not because of LAX, it was the fast growth and upgrades. I also seen guys saying "I would like envoy but I don't want to fly the 145, only the 175". Yes, SJS still out there and most new hires also believe the 175 will make them "more competitive". Like I said, is not about performance, is about what's cheaper for AA. Also envoy used to fly thru LAX with ORD CRJ crews. It can be done... |

Attractive as a mean of growth, fast upgrade and flow. Why on earth they would upgrade 70+ guys? They clearly want to bring upgrade down.

What AAG regional pilots tell others at cocktail parties or bars to pick up chicks is another story.
