If AAG wanted to add 175s to the Envoy fleet, why take Compass airplanes when Republic has 175s that are owned by AAG? Since Republic is in BR why not aquire theirs? And I keep hearing from Envoy folks that Mesa is leaving DFW in 2017 and that all the flying is coming back to Envoy. But in reality Mesa is picking up more and more destinations that were historically Envoys (FSM, GRK, LFT etc.) Not sure what it is about Envoy and their rumors but they sure like to dream and unfortunately at the expense of others.
And yes Envoy is getting new planes but it's not true growth. For every 175 that comes onto property isn't it replacing a ratio of 145s? |
This thread title is rediculous. No factual info here.

Feel sorry for them. They harbor deep hatred for a company/pilot group that is doing well without actually taking concessions, has a quick upgrade, and flies an airplane that is becoming more popular not less. The only thing they can say is "we're taking your ball and going home because we're better than you". Nevermind the fact that they can't point to a single thing that they're better at. Poor guys.
Sent from my SM-G925V using Tapatalk Your head is shoved so far up your own backside that it hurts just reading this. Compass is like any other contract carrier; You're not special. I know a very select few of you like to think of it as your special "Transitional Jet" and not a Regional Jet, but nothing any compass pilot does is any better than any other regional pilot. Your touted customer satisfaction comes from the A/C your company was chosen to operate and the region of the country it was told to do so in. Nobody on this forum had any say or was consulted in either of those decisions, so get over yourself. |

Not a single ENY pilot would represent themselves as an AA pilot.
Seen it happen wayyy tooo many times. Back when it was American Eagle, lots of guys would conveniently leave of the Eagle part. Heard it in many bars in the DFW/FTW area. Of course, I/we would ask what a/c the flew and they would respond with Saab or Candair or Embrair. Folks that worked under the Delta regional contracts did the same thing. |

Uh... when has a compass pilot came out said we're better than any other pilot group?!?!? I'd guess that 65-70% of the pilots on the compass seniority list are refugees from other airlines. If anything, we look at is as more a regional than some guys, we've seen how quick things can go bad and are just wanting to move on.

Exactly! We're not the ones drooling over getting "their" flying back from other carriers.
no ones head is shoved up their ass, Compass for a long time has been a refugee carrier, and you don't see anyone here talking about us being better than anyone else. And as far as our customer satisfaction, I don't see how the region matters as we operate from Coast to Coast in an airplane that is already opereated by other DL and AA feeder carriers, and yet CP comes out on top. We don't have to get over ourselves, people need to stop throwing baseless rumors on the internet about the continual circle jerk of whos taking whoms planes/flying I agree that it seems like most I read from compass pilots seems very level headed and reasonable. But I've had it from a couple now (the person I quoted included) who have just come off as arrogant and overly self important. Whether it's from scoffing at good things happening to other pilot groups (retention bonuses, signing bonuses, contract improvements etc.) or due to their good fortune at being hired at a company right during an upswing. Nobody *I know* at my company is salivating at the prospect of taking another pilot groups source of work. Are they excited about future prospects at their own company? Sure. But even that is just speculation at best at this point. Most I would say have seen it enough to understand what that means for another carrier and so keep their mouths shut. It's an unfortunate truth of our business at this level, and sadly, bickering amongst each other just seems to further the problems. As for the region not mattering I'll have to disagree with you there. Certain regions see far more daily delays and other issues than others all which contribute to just how happy the people on back are. Carriers who operate more frequently in those areas are obviously going to have to contend with that in addition to the other daily struggles all carriers deal in. Nature of the beast. |
