The truth is no one knows. We are now going to be seeing late 2016 early 2017 new hires upgrading, which back then we had a massive hiring wave, so FO slots will need to be filled so I could see them slowly ramping up the fo hiring toward the end of the year and most definitely early next year. There will probably be virtually no wait for a class by the beginning of next year. Things change quick tho. That’s just my two cents

So I was recently talking to another Envoy pilot about camera use and picture posting to social media. Per FM1 I understand that PED use is prohibited during critical phases of flight (I don't have FM1 in front of me at the moment, but it was something along those lines when I read it a few days ago). However the other pilot discussed about camera use for the purpose of picture taking out side of sterile periods of flight did not fall under the prohibited section of FM1. I'm not sure I agree with this per our FM1... anyhow, anyone have a clear understanding of exactly what is policy when it comes to this subject? I feel like it's somewhat clear in FM1 that all PED use is prohibited while operating the aircraft, but I've talked to a few others who have interpreted it differently. Thanks!

My policy is “live and let live” unless something unsafe occurs. Ultimately what the other guy sitting behind the bulletproof door thinks is what matters the most I think. The company has made it clear we aren’t to photograph any aspect of Envoys operations to protect trade secrets.
